Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 10, 2026.
The Operator (the-operator.net) is published from Quebec, Canada, and this policy explains how personal information is handled here — in plain language, as required by Quebec's Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector (Law 25).
What this site collects
Almost nothing. This is a static website: there are no accounts, no comment forms, no newsletter signup yet, and no analytics tracking. The site does not use cookies of its own and runs no third-party trackers.
The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes technical data (such as IP addresses) to deliver pages and protect against abuse. That processing is governed by Cloudflare's own privacy policy.
If you email contact@the-operator.net, your message and address are used only to reply to you.
What this site does not do
- No advertising trackers or profiling.
- No sale or sharing of personal information with third parties.
- No automated decision-making based on personal information.
When this changes
A newsletter and audience analytics are planned for the future. When either launches, this policy will be updated before it goes live: the newsletter will ask for explicit consent at signup, and any analytics will be disclosed here with an opt-out. The "last updated" date above will change, so you can tell.
Your rights (Law 25)
Under Quebec's Law 25, you have the right to access the personal information held about you, to have it corrected, and to withdraw consent where consent was given. To exercise any of these rights, write to contact@the-operator.net — requests are handled within 30 days.
